Our family owned cabin is located on the west shore of beautiful Kentuck Lake. This lake is approximately 975 acres and is home to many fish species including musky (class A musky lake), panfish, large and small mouth bass and walleye. It is also large enough for water activities including skiing, tubing, kayaking and paddle boarding. Truly an all-around family lake. Our cabin has two bedrooms. One with a queen size bed and the other has a full size w/twin on top. There is also another full size w/twin on top off the living room. There is one bathroom with a shower. The kitchen is fully furnished. Linens and towels are provided. On chilly nights the wood stove provides plenty of warmth (wood is provided). A TV with DVD player and a limited selection of movies is also furnished. No cell service or internet. There is a large deck which has a table and seating for four. A grill is also available for use. Relax by the fire pit right by the lake. Wood is provided. The dock is a great place to spend the afternoon. Plenty of space to tie up the boat. Also included are two kayaks and two standup paddle boards. There is a public boat landing approximately 1/4 mile away.

This property, situated on the shores of Four Mile Lake, is in (that's right, in) the Chequamegon-Nicolet National Forest in the Great Northwoods of Wisconsin. The Three Lakes Chain is part of the Eagle River-Three Lakes Chain of Lakes. This series of 28 lakes is the largest freshwater chain of lakes in the world. The Three Lakes part of the chain starts with the Burnt Rollways Reservoir and includes 20 lakes ranging in size from 123 acres to 1012 acres. There are two sections to this property. 20 acres of lakefront land and 63 acres of forest land. The 2200sf log cabin sits on a point giving almost a 180 degree view of the beautiful lake and pristine shorelines. This is the most UNoccupied lake in the chain. Very few lakeside homes creating an unspoiled view of the lake. The 63 acres of forest land right across Old Military Road has miles of trails for exploration by hike or by bike. The log home is amazing with 2400 square feet of open ceiling living space. Three bedrooms in the main home and a separate, but attached bedroom with ensuite bathroom in what we call the annex. The Sam Campbell Trail is a short distance away and his island home visible from the property. If you don't know who Sam Campbell is, take a few minutes to "Google" and get to know him. This ranch-style, one level, lakefront home with level sandy swimming beach is perfect for family fun. Catch a fish off the private pier or 14' V-hull fishing boat with oars and anchor. You can bring you own outboard motor or rent a 15 horsepower or less from the nearest marina, Boat Sport in Eagle River. Lounge on or leap from the large swim raft. Max lake depth is 16' - plenty deep for water skiing and tubing. If you bring your own boat, you may tie it at our private pier. We take the pier out any time after October 15, so if you choose this time period, the pier and boat may or may not be available. This lake has no public access, but you may pay for and use the boat launch at Big Bass Resort. It is available from Friday through Monday during the month of May. Starting in June, Saturdays will be the best time to launch boats. The cost is apx. $10 if you do not need help and apx. $25 if the tractor is needed. Scott has made his site available to all lake residents as a courtesy so please respect this privilege and the launch/retrieve times. We love the open floor plan of the kitchen / dining / living room. The house is approximately 1400 square feet all on one convenient level with unique retro decor. There is a detached garage you are welcome to use (as well as anything in it - water toys, adult bike, etc). Toward the east side of the home is 278-acre Bass Lake, where we enjoy 100 feet of private frontage. Max lake depth is 16' - plenty deep for waterskiing and tubing. Fishing success is better known for pan-fish, bass and big pike, but there are muskies and walleye. We have two story windows overlooking a terraced rock pathway to our pier, bench and seasonal 12' rowboat with oars. There is a 6 hp outboard motor you may put on / take off the boat with the understanding user is responsible for use and shall provide the gas as well as the gas / oil mix instructions as provided. For added fun, we have a fishing kayak and paddle! The pier and boat are taken out of the water after October 1. If your visit is after this time, the pier and/or boat may not be available. The wood fireplace and cathedral ceilings in the living room make this the place where you'll love to hang out. In the summer, the lakeside breeze off the large screen doors is great, but we also have two box fans in case you need them. We have 8 patio chairs and 2 lounge chairs on the covered deck overlooking the lake, and a charcoal barbecue. Enjoy privacy on the lake side queen bed bedroom with sliding glass doors. The other bedroom has a double bed and a twin bed. The queen hide-a-bed sofa in the living room sleeps two. There is also a bunk room out in the garage. Although not heated, the room can be a nice escape for the kids to use during summer months. Please note - We don't allow smoking. Up to two pets are welcome - no more, no exceptions. We furnish two adult life jackets, two child life jackets, water toys, games, puzzles, and a 10-speed bike. No laundry machines or services nearby, but Eagle River is 5 miles away and has a laundromat. Plan on bringing your own disposable items (paper products, soaps, charcoal, lighter fluid, etc). We supply the clean linens, house towels and kitchenware. Our dining room table seats six. You'll want to bring your own beach towels, fishing gear, skis or snowmobile, depending on when you're visiting! The snowmobile trail runs east and West along Hwy 70 near us. To reach it from the house, just turn left out of the driveway (1572 West Bass Lake Road), then turn right on Cranberry Road, and then when you reach Hwy 70, the trail is right there. It's the same route as driving to the cabin from Eagle River, in reverse. Bring a cell phone because there is no phone service or wifi. We have ice cube trays, but you may choose to bring extra ice. Bass Lake has no public boat launch, but your private boat can be tied up at our pier. (NOTE: Big Bass Resort is NOT currently offering boat launching as a service). We allow eight people maximum occupancy. A separate, unheated room in the garage that is NOT a bedroom, has a bunk bed set and a queen pull out sofa. Do not plan on using this room as a bedroom as it is not equipped with detectors or heating/cooling. June, July and August are only available to be reserved for a week at a time, with a Sunday arrival. However, if the calendar shows that we have the week still open, request a three night minimum reservation within two weeks of your arrival.
